I love taking pictures. I always try to keep my camera with me so I don’t miss a photo opportunity. I love taking pictures of my family. The best pictures of my family are the ones that they didn’t know I was watching and the ones everyone else would consider as bloopers.
I really like taking pictures of old cars, especially the ones that are sitting there waiting for someone to come along and bring them back to life. I have learned to always stop and take pictures of cars I like, whenever possible, because I may never be in that area again, or, as my experiences have proven, they may not be there next time. When possible I always ask the owner if I can take pictures of their car.
I may have crawled through barbed wire fences to take photos of vehicles too far off the road for my camera to catch. (Torn shirts prove nothing!) My Beautiful Wife and I have an understanding, I can take all the pictures I want of the cars as long as I don’t bring them home and I “don’t get shot.”
I also like taking pictures of breathtaking landscapes. The trick to sunrise/sunset pictures is being quick enough to take it.
No matter how well the photo turns out, I always feel the “live” version is the best. The mechanical lenses of a camera can never truly capture the full beauty of experiencing the masterpieces God creates across the landscape and in the sky. While a picture from a camera can last for ever. The masterpieces God creates in the sky may only last for a few minutes, so I have to appreciate them as they happen. Perhaps, God uses His masterpieces in the sky as a reminder that every moment of every day, is a gift from Him to enjoy now, not later.
Thank you Lord for the daily reminders you give me to enjoy the blessings in life you provide me on a daily basis.
